How it works
Fatty acids are absolutely crucial to skin health. As one of the main components in the skin’s moisture barrier, fatty acids are found throughout the epidermis and dermis.
Essential fatty acids, like omega-3 (alpha-linolenic) and omega-6 (linoleic), have a wide range of beneficial effects to the skin. They can mitigate UV damage, reduce the signs of aging, decrease sensitivity, and increase overall skin health. They can also lighten sun spots and other UV-induced hyperpigmentation. Borage seed oil, perilla seed oil, and cranberry seed oil contain 60-75% linoleic/alpha-linolenic acids each, giving Fortify its omega 3 and 6 components.
Oleic acid (omega-9) is a powerful moisturizer and skin-softener. Most of Fortify’s oleic acid comes from Camellia japonica oil, which has been shown to increase skin health and potentially reduce the signs of aging; it also has significant anti-inflammatory effects. Fortify’s other major source of oleic acid, marula oil, possesses strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant powers.
Is it right for me?
Fortify is a medium-weight oil that's minimally greasy and especially great for those with dry, combo, dehydrated, or sensitive skin. Pat a few drops into your skin before or instead of your usual moisturizer. Or, to give your normal routine a fatty acid boost, mix a couple drops into your serum, lotion, or foundation.
All Stratia products are free of common irritants like fragrance, alcohol, and essential oils.

This product is amazing. It has honestly made a huge impact on my skin (face)! Never a skincare regime enthusiast and quite lucky in the youthful looks department I started to struggle with skincare reaching mid 30s as my skin started to look more tired and puffy. I have really light and very dry skin. This face oil in combination with Clinique moisturizer (and the Stratia velvet cleanser) has restored my skin. No dry flakey skin, a healthy glow, no tired puffy face. I love it! I have tried Biossance squalane oil as well but it did not compare. Full disclosure I also used a very (!) small amount of Barbara Sturm face cream around 3 times a week. I use Fortify am and pm (after moisturizer and/or serums if i treat myself). For someone who is not a fan of overly complicated skincare regimes this is a great product as it makes a huge difference and is easy to apply. Took about 1.5 months to see a massive difference so I recommend to stick with it. Thank you for an amazing product...and reasonably priced :)
To start, I want to say this is an amazing product with a great ingredient list. It helped restore balance in my skin after I had really damaged my mantle. I have purchased it twice that’s how much I like it. The absolute BIGGEST draw bag is how horrible the packaging is. It leaks oil all over my vanity, there’s oil rings on the vanity itself as well as my acrylic organizer. The bottle always feels oily. Second, I’ve asked multiple times on different platforms if this product as well as liquid gold can be used on the eyelids with no response. As I said before, this product is worth buying but so much is being wasted because of poorly thought out packaging. A dropper bottle would have made far more sense.
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out and sorry if we missed one of your previous inquires about where and how to apply Liquid Gold and Fortify. In regards to the leaking, the best way to use fortify is to hold it completely vertical upside down and squeeze drops out, rather than just tilting it to the side. Holding it vertical will prevent oil from dripping onto the sides. If you find that Fortify and Liquid Gold works well on the rest of your skin, it should be fine on the eyelids, but avoid getting it directly in your eyes, and always patch test before using any product on your eyelids since that skin is incredibly thin and sensitive. We hope this is helpful, but if you have any further questions about our products please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be sure to get back to you.
This oil is light weight yet moisturizing, I usually just use a straight Tamanu or Rose hip oil but the combination of multiple ingredients that this oil has is by far my favourite topper after my moisturizer at night. I also have very sensitive skin and it doesn’t cause me to breakout, I actually find it helps heal my breakouts faster!
I love the oil it’s really soothing to my dry/sensitive skin. I always add a few drops in my skincare regimen to boost my hydration! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star because of packaging. It would be perfect if it was in a glass bootle or pump bottle.
This is a skin saver for me. It soothes and helps repairing my damaged skin barrier. Very nurturing and calming. I use it with liquid gold. I’ve used lots of oils from various brands ( Josie Maran, ***** Elephant, Herbivore, Paulas Choice, etc.). All are very good but Fortify is the most hydrating and soothing for my dry irritated/ sensitive skin due to Tretinoin. Love it. This will be in my routine staple for good. The only thing I wish it can improve is the delivery system. It’s hard to control how many drops I want. I have to shake the bottle in order for the oil to come out. Most of the time it comes out more than I need. A dropper is ideal for more precise amount.
