An antioxidant powerhouse with 15% vitamin C in a feather-light, water-free formula.Brighten, smooth, and firm your skin with a daily antioxidant boost. This powerful serum features 10% ascorbic acid (the pure form of vitamin C) plus 5% ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (an oil-soluble vitamin C derivative). We added some CoQ10 for good measure and put it all in a water-free formula to protect these potent but fragile antioxidants.
Brighten up and smooth out with two types of vitamin C.

Highly potent antioxidant that helps prevent premature aging by neutralizing free radicals caused by UV damage, pollution, and other sources.
Oil-soluble derivative of vitamin C that penetrates skin deeply to fight free radicals, boost collagen production, and brighten skin tone.

How it works
Vitamin C is one of the most powerful skincare ingredients you can get without a prescription. It can:
• Scavenge and neutralize free radicals
•Increase collagen production
• Fade hyperpigmentation
However, the form of vitamin C that’s easiest for your skin to use, L-ascorbic acid, is also extremely unstable, breaking down quickly when exposed to water, heat, or light. That’s why most vitamin C serums turn orange and need to be replaced often.
C+C Serum uses 10% L-ascorbic acid, and to keep it safe, we’ve suspended it in a lightweight silicone formula away from water, heat, and light. That means it’s stable on your shelf for a full year. We also added 5% ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, an oil-soluble form of vitamin C.
To up the ante, we added another incredibly powerful antioxidant, Coenzyme Q10 (otherwise known as ubiquinone) to make sure no free radical is left un-scavenged. Bisabolol, a key component of German chamomile, helps soothe and calm skin.
Put it all together and you’re left with an incredibly potent yet non-irritating antioxidant serum to help brighten, smooth, and firm your skin.
C+C Serum does not have a pH because it’s an anhydrous (water-free) product.
Is it right for me?
We chose C+C's vitamin C percentages to hit that sweet spot: effective but not irritating. That means it's perfect for even sensitive skin. Since C+C Serum's silicone base evaporates away, it's lightweight, non-greasy, and suitable for all skin types.
Due to the nature of C+C Serum’s silicone base, it’s important to apply the product to clean, dry skin and wait a few minutes before applying your next product. Layering other products without allowing C+C’s base to evaporate can cause pilling or balling of product.
All Stratia products are free of common irritants like fragrance, alcohol, and essential oils.

I wanted to love this product, as I like the ethos and design of Stratia's indie brand, but it had a number of key issues for me. On the plus side, this is a good price for product that lasted four months of use. On the downsides, the pump dispenser does not have an inner tube to pick up product so I had to store it upside down and shake it to get any of the cream out. I wasted a lot that wouldn't come out. Second, the silicone texture of the cream feels terrible. It evaporates off the skin to help preserve and deliver the vitamin C, as the product describes, but that means it's thick, drying, and feels like molten plastic dragged across your skin without soaking in and just sitting there. It stings slightly, but that is typical for Vit C products and I expected that. After giving this a try, I still prefer an oil or liquid vitamin c product, even if that is more prone to oxidizing. On effectiveness, I couldn't notice a difference. I do love Stratia's other products, but I just can't recommend this one without BIG caveats.
C+C Serum has helped fade a dark PIH mark on my foot when no other thing worked. It is also the most gentle on my face, causing less sensitivity than other L-Ascorbic Acid serums. I have definitely noticed less pigmentation on my face since using C+C Serum. And the evaporation time is never an issue. I put it on first (always first, never after any moisturizers, otherwise it pills), curl my eye lashes, and then my skin is usually ready for the next layer. I have tried a number of L-Ascorbic Acid serums, from ***** Elephant (lovely, but oxidizes quickly and is expensive), to Maelove (good formula, but my skin gets sensitive if I use it regularly), to the Ordinary (um, no), to home made (a bit of a pain, and would stain my hands). I have almost gone through 2 bottles of it, and will definitely be getting more!
I generally like this product. The texture is different that any other serum I've used - it's viscous like a primer. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I have a hard time feeling out when the silicones have evaporated - I feel like my skin still has a primer feel to it 5 minutes after application. However, I love knowing the formula is stable and won't drop in efficacy quickly like aqueous vitamin C serums I've used in the past. The texture of the serum requires me to take more time than usual before proceeding with the rest of my routine, so I usually apply this in the evening when I have more time to spend on skincare. I apply this on clean, dry skin, wait 5-10 minutes, and then proceed with essences and moisturizer (liquid gold!). I use a little more than one pump to cover my entire face. I have mild rosacea and sensitive skin. I feel a slight tingle with this vitamin C, but no sting or redness after application. I've been using this serum 2-3 times/week and I definitely sense a glow!
This serum is excellent. The first night that I tried this I noticed a slight fading on two stubborn dark spots that I have been trying to get rid of for over a year. The pigmentation from old acne scars also faded noticeably. After the initial fading, I was able to notice less dramatic gradual fading with each passing week. I hope that this serum will continue to fade my dark spots until they are no longer visible, but I will just have to wait and see what happens. This serum is a bit drying so I like to use it with Stratia's Liquid Gold moisturizer at night.
This has slowly but surly faded my old acne marks as ive used it over the past year or so, and my skin looks great!
